Pros
The best thing about the company is the ShareSave Scheme. It's brilliant and you can make a decent amount of money from it. Which encourages you to be invested - More organisations should do this. My previous HR Business Partner - Since Left My interim City Manager - Since Left My Regional Manager - Since left Some really good people work there. The basic model of operational procedure is good, in some ways better than I have seen from other competitors on the market. Their technology is great and when all operational will be fantastic. I was a fairly lucky one in terms of basic salary as I got what I asked for upon application, but my colleagues were on less than me in the same role which was demoralising for them if ever discussed (which it is of course!) and then I got pay rises and bonus each year for achieving KPIs etc, just never for the additional roles I took on.
Kontras
Hours, Training, Senior Management support, general operational procedures were good but ever changing, causing frustration and confusion for entire team. No additional salary for additional duties given, but watched others receive various amounts of payment, thanks and expenses for doing a lesser amount of work. Made to feel inadequate when things went wrong that were outside of personal control. The Fun in the values is certainly not there. Just because there are new things and bright colours it doesn't mean everything is shiny. Nepotism and favouritism. If you're are in the upper echelons of Bristol and you sleep with the right people, you are all good. If not, you're just another cog in the wheel watching them all get rich and promoted. There is no consistency across the brand. Things are done differently and there's definitely a more caring approach to students in the rural cities in comparison to the London Buildings. The London teams should go and train outside of London and see how it really should be done.
