Extreme lack of direction or vision. The vision for the future was always based purely on payroll and overly aggressive sales teams. Which is understandable given that this is a IT services company that relies on winning contracts and payroll is the largest cost for those new deals. But if you are going to innovate and improve your product/service you should start with good contracts - Unisys does NOT sign good contracts - and a strong definition of your Service Catalogue. The end result is a “smoke and mirrors” appearance of profit whereby a big - yet terribly constructed - deal in won but followed by hamstrung transition and and ineffective Delivery due to overly aggressive staffing models and SLA agreements. This is simply a recipe for failure.
