Pros
Uniforms look good. Owner personally conducts orientation training for most. Supervisors can be contacted 24x7. There are a lot of good words, and encouraging speeches. Additional training is sometimes offered.
Kontras
No benefits, and despite what you are told (many other companies do offer benefits.) Company has not grown significantly in years. Zero promotion potential. You are supposed to be "on call" and subject to cover any and every post, every other week... more like any and all times you are expected to be available. If you are not available when called, you are disciplined---written up and/or suspended. You are not expected to have a home life.
Supposedly you are "renting" the uniforms from the company, even though you get them not from the company but from a uniform store. You pay full purchase price for uniforms when you start, and then the owner "requires" you to return them to the company when you leave.
A one man company, there is no HR, account manager, payroll dept, ethics violation contact person...ect You are at the mercy of the owner "branch manager". There is supposed to be an "open door" policy; however, if any sort of complaint is made you become the hunted, and once the owner has you in his sights, it's a done deal.
May be a good place for a 1st job, but if you are looking for growth, development, ethical treatment...ect Do yourself a favor and keep looking.
