Pros
- great benefits (401k match, 10 weeks paternity leave and 16 weeks maternity, PTO rollovers, etc) - great IC workers and teams who understand the business needs
Kontras
- Terrible and clueless directors (middle management). Twist loves to harbor and protect director-level managers who continuously prove that they don't understand how process works or what drives the business. Directors also lack in any technical skills that they are supposed to possess - Revolving door of employees with extremely high turnover rate, yet ironclad director-level job security. - No transparency from the ELT and management, they decide, you follow, you get fired if things go wrong. - Rampant nepotism and frat culture. Managers are hired by directors without any input from their reports. - Terrible work/life balance. Director-level frat boys who will message you at 3am during their PTO and work until 10pm. And then you will be shamed during your performance review for not doing the same - No upwards mobility. Middle management (see-above) will make sure that you never rise above them so you can cover their incompetence forever
