Pros
I'm the CEO and Founder, so not objective. But these are still my genuine observations on the kind of company we actually are (not the kind of company I wish we were). TurnTo is a mature organization for its size. We have grown steadily but have never gone through binge hiring, which has given time for the experienced team members to train new folks as they come on board. That means people know how to do the things asked of them and do them well with minimal oversight. And that means a minimum of internal meetings, lots of front-line real-time decision-making, and speed - whether in customer service, product development, or sales. We prefer generalization over specialization, asking team members to play broad roles. We are not overly rah-rah about ourselves, but the culture is truly friendly and supportive. We are obsessively focused on the satisfaction of our customers. We are led by innovation - we think it's our job to bring customers solutions they didn't know to ask for, not just to respond to their requests (though we do that well, too). We work hard but not maniacally. We provide great growth opportunities for those who excel, but our lean, high-productivity model is not a good fit for medium-performers. I believe TurnTo is an excellent place to work and to grow, and I believe these values are deep in our DNA and will stay with us as the business continues to expand.

As of this writing, we are bursting at the seams in our current space. (Thanks to the team for their patience.) We'll be in a new, big, bright office soon. TurnTo is not the right place for people who lack the drive to do great work, to grow personally, and to deliver awesome value to customers. We can be impatient with people lacking those qualities.
