Pros
The company operates globally, with town halls translated into multiple languages in real-time. Consumers love the brand, even if they don’t realize they dont really have the actual Tupperware brand Some products are excellent, but others not so much, but the company keeps them for the glory days There are great talented people, but unfortunately with a lack of clear direction
Kontras
Where do I begin? I joined the company believing in the "turnaround plan" to expand into new channels, but I am disappointed, to say the least. A key issue is the divide between two approaches within the company: • Supporting the direct sales business model • Growing digital channels You’d expect both to be integrated into an omnichannel strategy, but that never happened. There was no clear plan for executing both effectively. What has happened is that teams are now operating independently, following what they each believe is the best approach. They feel leadership doesn’t truly understand the direct sales model. The company has now filed for bankruptcy, current management came about a year ago, they will likely say there was nothing we could do about it, I personally think they ran into decision paralysis given all the problems the company has.
