Pros

I am writing this review to give people a heads up about the toxic culture perpetuated by upper management on TM team. I wish someone had given me a heads up before I dropped everything to accept the offer, so I hope this is helpful. -Good benefits -Product itself is promising -Spend a massive amount on marketing so leads are very good and you don't have to source leads.

Kontras

-This review is written in very general terms since apparently it violates the glassdoor policy if I mention the specific person who is responsible for the toxic environment. It is one person though who made it super bad. -To give you some context on how bad the culture was: I resigned after just 5 days into this new role with no financial back up plan. I was given the option to stay, but I didn't want to support the toxic environment and cut my losses early. Glad I did! I returned to my old job partly to regain my confidence after this horrible experience, which I still am traumatized from. -Felt mislead during the interview process. The person who I worked with the most during the onboarding process (a complete nightmare to deal with) interviewed me for only 5 minutes and I found out on my last day there I that she didn't even know what my role was in my previous position. At the end of the day, it's the CEO's job to monitor culture. The Head of TM's and my colleagues were great, it was just this one person in upper management who ruined the experience for me. I think if the environment had been more positive I would have done very well in the role. -Severe micromanagement and lack of trust in employees. -Favoritism - 2 people on the TM team got the most leads according to the TM dashboard, despite them mentioning that leads were evenly distributed. Compare you to other employees publicly. -Upper management didn't even bother to ask why I resigned in 5 days to get my side of the story. I guess they don't want to improve the culture. Even if I am leaving, most companies do an exit interview. They didn't. -Luckily, because I did so well in my previous role, I was able to get my old job back, but it was still a set back and disappointment, especially since I passed up one of the top tech companies to join this one (unfortunately I had signed with TB before I interviewed with the other company) -Humiliate employees in front of others over a minor mistake -Given petty assignments/busy work during the onboarding process -Too many unnecessary meetings. A lot of the meetings could just be done over collaboration in a google doc. Once again, this stems from severe micromanagement. -Close-minded -Don't value employees -Management out of fear. You can still be a good manager without intimidation. Bottom Line: Don't be fooled by the high salary offer of 90k and the 5-star reviews (that are predominantly from the engineering team that has a good culture and only 1 review from sales). This role comes with a lot of baggage. And, as my significant other put it, to good to be true.
