Pros

Treez has a leadership position in the industry now after years of tough battle. Its hard to displace our software. Well grounded compared to some of the competitors. Disciplined to have made the right calls. there is a sense of direction here that's hard to find elsewhere in the space. Its a major plus that my colleagues are hands on and seemingly always willing to help. Easy to see the impact of your work. Pay is fair.

Kontras

Fast moving environment and that comes with tradeoffs. Not everything is perfectly structured. Some teams are still settling into new ways of working.

Pros

Remote work and competitive compensation, however that is likely no longer a reality.

Kontras

My experience at TREEZ was very disappointing - lack of competitive benefits, poor leadership, and a toxic work culture made it miserable. They offer minimal benefits, no 401K matching, and sub-par health insurance. We received very few holidays— just one day off for Christmas last year. On top of that, the granted stock options hold little to no value thanks to questionable financial stability and leadership. As a remote employee, I found the company's culture to be exclusive and isolating. Management made no effort to integrate remote workers into the broader team adding to the already lacking camaraderie. Company and team meetings felt forced and unengaging, with an overwhelming sense of fake positivity masking underlying issues. The employee review cycle was notably frustrating—quarterly self-evaluations placed the burden on us to justify our continued employment, rather than fostering a culture of recognition and constructive feedback. During my time, I witnessed several layoffs of highly talented individuals due to poor financial decisions and myopic leadership. Some employees were even laid off and re-hired only to be let go again, further proving TREEZ instability and an absence of long-term vision. We were often made to feel disposable instilling a constant sense of job insecurity. Most recently, the company laid off 10% of its workforce, many of whom had been long-term contributors, all while simultaneously making questionable financial decisions, including a recent acquisition and re-hiring an ineffective VP of Engineering. These decisions point to a pattern of mismanagement and disregard for employee well-being. If you're considering a role at TREEZ, I strongly advise you to think twice.
