*Dedicated Individual Contributors: Most individual contributors are passionate and hard working *Reasonable Compensation: Salaries and Compensation Packages are aligned with other industries *Remote Opportunities: Treez allows for remote work opportunities, providing employees with flexibility and the ability to work from nearly anywhere. *Serves an Exciting Industry: Treez operates in the exciting industry of Cannabis, which adds an element of interest and excitement to the work environment. .

Kontras

*Product Oversights: Treez's entry into new and existing markets continue to be plagued with oversights, which results in significant compliance issues. This negligence not only demonstrates a lack of due diligence but also reflects the company's disregard for legal and ethical obligations for the sake of rushing into markets and collecting subscriptions. *Unreliable Product and Frequent Regressions: The product released by Treez can only be described as highly unreliable, plagued with regressions during many releases. This pattern of consistently delivering flawed updates has left customers frustrated and dissatisfied. The lack of quality control and testing prior to deployment is appalling and raises serious concerns about the company's commitment to delivering a stable and trustworthy solution. *Absent CEO: The absence of a visible and engaged CEO at Treez is deeply concerning. With no strong leadership at the helm, the company lacks direction, guidance, and accountability. This absence of leadership trickles down throughout the organization, creating a chaotic and unproductive work environment. Unrealistic Expectations and "Wartime" Rhetoric: Treez's management team often employs "wartime" rallying calls in company meetings, creating unrealistic expectations for employees. Such rhetoric may sound motivational, but it ultimately sets unattainable goals, leading to burnout and demoralization among the workforce. *Understaffed/Under Resourced Support and Engineering Teams: The support and engineering teams at Treez are consistently understaffed and under-resourced. This results in prolonged response times for customer queries, unresolved issues, and a lack of timely bug fixes or feature enhancements. The company's failure to invest adequately in these critical departments undermines the overall customer experience. *Lack of Resources for Triage and Prioritization: Treez lacks the necessary resources to accurately triage and prioritize product gaps and markets. As a result, important issues are frequently overlooked or delayed, leaving customers outside of the majority market to suffer the consequences. This failure further highlights Treez's lack of commitment to expansion, customer satisfaction, and improvement. *Bullying and Fearful Working Environment: Leadership within Treez is known for its bullying tactics, which have created a fearful working environment that stifles collaboration and innovation. The toxic culture instilled by some individuals in leadership prevents employees from leveling up, speaking up, sharing ideas, or contributing to their full potential. *Lack of Accountability and Finger-Pointing: When misses occur, there is a complete lack of accountability within Treez. Rather than taking responsibility for their failures, leaders resort to blaming and finger-pointing, creating a toxic blame culture that further erodes trust and teamwork. *Overall Lack of Vision and Direction: Treez suffers from an overarching lack of vision and direction. There is no clear roadmap for success or a coherent understanding of what the organization aims to achieve. This lack of strategic focus undermines employee morale and hampers the company's ability to thrive in a competitive market.

Pros

Remote work and competitive compensation, however that is likely no longer a reality.

Kontras

My experience at TREEZ was very disappointing - lack of competitive benefits, poor leadership, and a toxic work culture made it miserable. They offer minimal benefits, no 401K matching, and sub-par health insurance. We received very few holidays— just one day off for Christmas last year. On top of that, the granted stock options hold little to no value thanks to questionable financial stability and leadership. As a remote employee, I found the company's culture to be exclusive and isolating. Management made no effort to integrate remote workers into the broader team adding to the already lacking camaraderie. Company and team meetings felt forced and unengaging, with an overwhelming sense of fake positivity masking underlying issues. The employee review cycle was notably frustrating—quarterly self-evaluations placed the burden on us to justify our continued employment, rather than fostering a culture of recognition and constructive feedback. During my time, I witnessed several layoffs of highly talented individuals due to poor financial decisions and myopic leadership. Some employees were even laid off and re-hired only to be let go again, further proving TREEZ instability and an absence of long-term vision. We were often made to feel disposable instilling a constant sense of job insecurity. Most recently, the company laid off 10% of its workforce, many of whom had been long-term contributors, all while simultaneously making questionable financial decisions, including a recent acquisition and re-hiring an ineffective VP of Engineering. These decisions point to a pattern of mismanagement and disregard for employee well-being. If you're considering a role at TREEZ, I strongly advise you to think twice.
