Pros

TransUnion associates are generally very friendly, kind people who are well-intentioned. Work-life balance is strong for most of the organization. Because people stay forever, there are many associates who have great perspective and strong networks across the org, making them invaluable partners.

Kontras

People stay at TransUnion forever- This leads to complacency and stagnation across the organization. Change is slow-moving and some of the work done is incompetent, bordering on negligent. There is no path to promotion or growth in many cases, as the rungs above you on the corporate ladder are filled with people who've been there 20 and 30 years in some cases.

I love the people at TU and I am so glad that you got to experience how kind and friendly they are. As I read your review further, I have to be honest, I felt my heart sink. We want TU to be the kind of place where everyone feels they have the opportunity to grow their career and succeed. By everyone – I mean those who are tenured and those who are new. Anyone who wants to work hard, learn and grow is someone who should feel they have a home here. I am sorry that you did not have that experience.
