Executive management do not care about employee engagement and try to hide things from overseas bosses by making them think that everyone is happy and that they interact with staff., when in reality they only interact with their own cliques. Employee engagement has reduced dramatically and many people have left because they are also afraid of job security after recent retrenchments which executive management have not addressed in order to assure staff that they are no longer at risk. Unrealistic deadlines were given to overseas bosses to make themselves look good, without giving a thought to the staff who are delivering the work. As a result, staff are working ridiculous hours and are continuously tired and frustrated
