Pros
The Pros begin with most positions seeming like there is a huge upside for growth, advancement, etc. The longer you are in your position, you will find that the entire set up is a pyramid scheme and now that the company has been around for so long there is not enough commission percentage to go around.
Kontras
Compared to the Translation/Localization Industry they are >50% under market for compensation, especially when it comes to 5+ years professional sales. Compared to similar positions on technical sales they are >65% under market for compensation. Culture is terrible. Management is incompetent due to not having any management training. The pyramid scheme also doesn't help since a manager make more money helping themselves as compared to helping their employees. Many of the certifications, processes they pitch to clients are lies and/or very misleading. Turnover is very high - just for the sales team in the US, an average of 60 people left each year (team has less than 150 total for US) Due to carrying such a high overhead (not increased quality standards as they'd lead you to believe) their pricing is in the upper 1/4 of the industry. Nearly all compensation is paid as commission and draw, they try to get you into the draw quickly, hope you find a few good deals, but because you aren't making money, you will leave and the accounts will become 'freebies' for your manager. Look at Linkedin - people leave Transperfect and become great, people don't go to Transperfect to become great The company is too many companies, when they acquire new businesses they maintain their ID which confuses clients since internally Transperfect does nothing to create unity and consistency
