As an intern, there was a lot that I didn't know and the team was super willing to sit down and spend the time to explain concepts or tech, even if they are busy. - Huge emphasis on balanced work-life balance. The CEO often encouraged us to take vacations or a day off when we need a break. - The company is constantly focusing on improving its culture. There's many opportunities to evaluate the culture and the CEO is very responsive to the feedback. - Able to make major decisions on projects and have your voice heard since the team is still small. - Considerate of my opinions when assigning my project. My manager tried to cater the project towards my interests and what I wanted to learn for the summer.

- Because the team is so small, often times an engineer is tackling 3 or 4 tasks/projects at once. Because of this, there is an expectation that you can manage and solve problems independently, and that also means that there's a greater opportunity to learn and make important contributions.

* The people are great to work with: supportive, encouraging of different ideas, and smart. * Benefits are thoughtful and reflect a company that *really* cares about its employees. * You get to have a big impact at a small company on the culture, company decisions, etc. * There are so many great learning opportunities.

It's still small and in the early-startup high-risk stage. But if you can accept the risks of a startup, it's definitely worth it.
