Pros

high-energy environment, collaboration & accountability across all teams, innovative and quick to provide resources to help the sales team succeed. I was there for about 2 years and went through some family issues that were emotionally taxing. Everyone was very kind, empathetic, including the leadership team. When I first started there, my father was dying of cancer and I was out of the office for weeks. The leadership team never said one word to me about PTO or deducting my compensation due to fact I had just started but wasn't in the office working. When I returned they were incredibly empathetic, gave me a beautiful card and provided dinner for my family. I was truly touched particularly given I had just started at ThinkWhy and hadn't really had an opportunity to connect with colleagues. On my last day I literally boohooed like a baby. I had become close with so many people it was upsetting knowing I wouldn't get to collaborate, innovate, and giggle with them during the week. I experienced countless memorable moments - it was a truly unique and awesome experience.

Kontras

It is FAST-PACED, lol, so buckle up! :). I had worked at startups previously so felt prepared for the twists & turns, decisions then pivots. It's par for the course for startup companies. It's a pace I love and an environment I enjoy but I can totally see how it may not be for everyone.

Pros

working with the people here was amazing. anyone could go to anyone else and give their input and collaborate on what the best solution would be.

Kontras

not really any. my bosses were great. I was unfortunately laid off, but was treated well throughout the entire process.

Pros

Cool office and location. Start up atmosphere with extremely talented people. The best part about the job were my co-workers. I really enjoyed the people I worked with. Decent amount of variety in the work.

Kontras

Indecisive leadership team. They constantly say one thing and do another. Depending on who you work for, you’ll have very little autonomy and input in how you do your job. Feels like they don’t trust their people. Low pay, which is ironic given they report on salaries. Long hours with little to no upside. Horrible employee burnout.

Thank you for your post. We do our best to screen for high-performance individuals and we understand that a tech startup environment is not for everyone. Most thrive within our pace of work and some may find that it is challenging. That’s okay. It’s all about perspective and we acknowledge yours. In a high-performance culture, we must remain adaptable to the demands of the market and our clients. We feel we have done this successfully, and while it may cause frustration for some internally, we know we are putting our best foot forward for our employees, clients and partners.
