Pros

I worked there for 4 years and met many great people I am proud to call friends. TRI gave me the opportunity to learn and work on many great properties and be part of every aspect of the process. If I wanted to learn or try something new I usually could.

Kontras

Management was terrible, and at times seemed corrupt and inept.. there was petty infighting among them and gross mismanagement of project pitches and deadlines. There was always an expectation of crunch hours for months on end due to unrealistic deadlines or publisher changes. Raises were hard to come by, and bonuses were non existent.

Pros

Everyone at TRI has been fabulous, but there has been a run of bad financial luck. Smart, fun people.

Kontras

The bad luck as far as landing projects for TRI has been compounding year-on-year. The future is questionable for the stability of the company.

Pros

Good people around you on the team level. Somewhat family friendly.

Kontras

Management has their heads up their own butts. They have years and years to find work. That's their job and they can't even do it. Meanwhile everyone below them loses their jobs, while they sit in their offices. The engine is so far behind it's competitors that it's laughable. It's the owners baby and it's like pulling teeth to get anything that is user friendly put in. Along with management, there are other higher members of staff constantly discounting what other engines and engine demos show. It's like they actually believe that they are better. It's psychotic. Pay is way below average. Don't expect to move up in position unless you kiss the right butts and be buddy buddy with all the higher ups. They like to keep you in your place. They have no plan or system for advancement.
