Short sighted strategies have been pushing talent out the door and outright throwing it away. Currently all the field engineers that support on premises systems are being laid off in favor of contracting out that work to the competition, IBM. Highly trained talent is being thrown away to meet some headcount goal, it's causing TD to miss SLA's left and right because the IBM support model doesn't fit well with the level of service TD customers have been paying for. This will ensure a continued revenue decline through customers no longer paying for the top tier support plans and just quitting TD altogether, in spite of any "savings" garnered from reducing the headcount.
