Ghosted and Unsupportive - Curriculum Designer bei Techability: Mitarbeiterbewertung

Fun projects, great students, and a schedule that can comfortably work with other jobs. Comfortably worked at Techability for several months, using course content they made for us to help students have fun and learn Adobe programs, Scratch coding, and more. Other teachers were creative and insightful, great to network with and learn from too. Teaching also inspired personal growth in relevant fields.

Lack of communication from the CEO Andy. The first half of working at Techability was really good, paid well for the time, and not too many hours. At some point early 2022 he completely dropped the ball. He stopped paying employees on time, at first with excuses, and then later on with ignoring the problem. Eventually I quit because working without knowing when I would get paid was not it. His attitude about teachers and students being expendable to grow his company was gross too, for someone supposedly focused on the small and one to one appeal of the classes.

You do get to teach some wonderful students.

They stopped paying us. Several staff had to demand payment for months of back pay. Also, many parents who canceled the program were being charged months after their children stopped attending. Major lack of communication.
