Pros
1.Brand: The Times of India Brand is the only good thing, that helps you. Well it does not help for your next job change. 2. Cold calling event at Manager Level: It only helps for cold calling. "Hello Mr X, this is XX from the Times Group, is this a good time? If you would say techgig, there is absolutely no recall.
Kontras
1. DIFFICULT TO SELL: Competitors are doing much better like, TopCoder, Hackerearth, hackerrank, Mettl etc. 2. LACK OF INNOVATION: There is no innovation at all, since the company's inception it has been selling coding and hackathon platform. Just go to the competitors pages and you can see the differences yourself. Forget about the product. HackerRank, Topcoder Mettl 2. OFFICE: The office floor is shared with another company called Dine Out. The number of employees of Techgig would be less than 15, including HR and officeboy. 3. WORK HOURS: Account Manger's life start with 8:30 AM review calls AT OFFICE and ends at 7 or 730. So in a city like Bangalore be ready to reach home at 9 PM. And get ready for review MEETING in the morning at 8:30 AM. 4. NO RETENTION OF CLIENTS: There is absolutely no retention of clients, which makes it even more difficult to sell. 5. NOT EASY TO MOVE TO OTHER TIMES GROUP COMPANIES: There is absolutely no way to make your life any easier to go to any other group companies. So people just leave Techgig. 6. WORST PAY AND INCENTIVE STRUCTURE: Difficult to earn incentives in Bangalore region. 7. ITS ANOTHER TIMES JOBS: Its the same bosses and company policies, just different name. BTW Times Jobs is hardly surviving.
