You will not be secure in employment at this company, which rattles through employees at an astonishing rate. You'll be severely overworked and underpaid, or severely overworked and randomly sacked for no reason and with zero regard for employment law. Many people have randomly been sacked (not made redundant) either because the owner wanted more control, or because he simply wanted to cut costs.
The owner fancies himself as a bit of an entrepreneur. If he is, its an entrepreneur someone ordered on Temu. He doesn't know what he's doing but massively micromanages everyone at all times. All team leaders have to deal with his constant incompetent interference and him making hugely important decisions in secret. Team members will randomly be hired and fired without team managers even being told about it. People in the UK get sacked, replaced by cheap workers from abroad. Instructions from the owner are also for everyone to constantly use AI. Marketing, sales pitches, event content creation, and particularly the editorial, is pure AI. Everything is done on the cheap. The unprofessionalism from the top seeps into every area of the company. It was embarrassing to be a part of it.
