Pros
It was a job. I received a paycheck.
Kontras
I had a position working onsite at a client company. The client company was great, but TarrenPoint was going through some real issues during my time with them. My co-workers and I went through a time period of receiving late paychecks, during which the company's CEO sent rambling emails with way too much information blaming everyone (including the employees who were waiting to be paid) but herself. The cycle of middle managers we went through was insane. I worked with one of them, and she decided to quit with no other job lined up because of how much she hated her job and the company. In short, it was soul-crushing for her to be part of the management team. During my time with the client company my job changed drastically. I was finally given a title change but never saw an increase in pay, no matter how hard my manager fought for me. This happened with several co-workers. We were told orientation you are told that this is not the company to work with if you want to move up the ladder--all moves are lateral. And if we can't even get a raise if we do move up at the client company... What's the point? The client company finally had enough with TarrenPoint and ended their contract with them, so I lost my job. TarrenPoint contacted me after the split and was very excited about having me interview with them for a different job within the company. I was reluctant but decided to interview because I needed the income. After interviewing and taking an editing test, I never heard back from them, even after contacting them several times. How hard is it to say, "Hey, we changed our minds"? Bottom line: Do not work for this company. Horrible communication. Don't care at all about their employees.
