Pros
TTEC is a third-party outsourcing company. If you have ever called in to ask a question or voice concern about an issue, there is a good chance you may have been speaking to a TTEC employee who represents the company but is not a direct employee. For those who are beginning, TTEC is a good starter company that will usually pay for your licenses and training upfront. There are opportunities to move up or laterally but it may not be for everyone.
Kontras
TTEC employees are expected to take a high volume of calls and minimize non-productivity. Whereas this is understandable to maintain client expectations, the time restrictions are very rigid. One can be labeled as a performance outlier if not immediately jumping to the next call, even though relevant notes and work are being completed after a call has ended. Roles are responsibilities are added but compensation is capped. Tenured agents with a wider range of roles are expected to perform with the exact metrics of new/single-skilled agents. Performance Bonuses are available but usually are difficult to obtain since multi-skill and single-skill representatives are lumped into the same performance metrics.
