Pros

- Quick to get the job, was 'recruited' via my CV online (Reed.co.uk) on the Thursday and was working by the Monday - They post ads daily for new staff so if you apply with one of the agencies (or direct), then you'll be likely to get a job - People are fun

Kontras

- You feel like the battery hen of the customer service world: poor lighting (no natural light), relentless work load, constant stress, excessive screen time, entirely sedentary role - It's not really 'customer service' and more 'complaints handling' - Exceptionally high turn over of staff, which means there's not much morale, negative atmosphere and a mistrust of management - Doesn't pay enough for what you're expected to do/abuse you have to sit through from customers

Pros

For the most part, I have an open availability. I do however, like not having to work on Sundays. Some campains allow for a 1 hour lunch break. The hiring process was fairly easy. Your equipment is provided. There is opportunity for advancement. They are helpful when it comes to license renewal. Calls are back to back which for me seems to make time go faster. Flexibly as to when you want to take your lunch break. You have to opportunity to assist people without having to feel it was rushed. Off all major holidays.

Rushed training that may leave some questions unanswered. I feel like I had to figure things out on my own. Getting the assistance you need to help a client took longer than it should, especially when the client is on on hold, waiting for your response. At times some trainers seem to be unprepared for the roll they have taken. Calls are frequently monitored. Not much time between calls. It can take too long to transition from on campain to the next after the project has ended.
