Pros

- My coworkers, both on my team and those outside my team, are really knowledgeable about their job, care about their role within the company, and are detail-oriented. I love being part of a strong team and company. It motivates me to do my best, even better. - WFH! I work more hours than if I were in the office but I don't mind it because I'm already at home. It benefits both me and the company. - Benefits and PTO. I don't want to disclose too much, but the health benefits and PTO are the best I've seen, heard, or had. It's kind of unreal. - The company's overall covid response was mediocre (see cons below), but I want to highlight the positive things they did. They were among the first to announce closure of their offices to keep their employees safe. We weren't allowed to take home our monitors, but all employees were able to submit a request for an external monitor, mouse, and keyboard to make the transition to WFH a smooth one. They allowed employees to rollover a LOT of their unused vacation days to 2021 because we couldn't travel in 2020. They talked openly about mental health and encouraged employees to get out for a walk and take a break during the work day. - They close the office early on holidays/holiday weekends. They usually send out an email the day before. - I feel safe talking openly and honestly to my manager and team. I know my opinion will be heard and respected. I'm never afraid to ask questions, even ones I think are dumb. - I have the best manager in the world.

- Yes, people were laid off for reasons mentioned in other reviews. However, from what I understand, a large percentage of those employees were given ~6 months' notice. I've never heard of a company giving that much notice to employees and think it's really admirable. They knew which direction they wanted to go and were honest with their employees. - The "business/customer is always right" doesn't create a positive culture when it's between coworkers. - Goals should have been omitted or extended for all employees in 2020 because of the pandemic. No one needed more stress on top of a pandemic and the transition from KH to SPS. - Work/life balance was seemingly impossible during the migration earlier this year. However, they made up for it with comp days off (which they didn't have to do, but my brain desperately needed). And, improvements have been made. Hopefully this will be maintained.

It’s great to hear that you are finding that to be true, and are inspired by the colleagues you get to work with. Glad to hear that your manager is doing a great job supporting you too. I hope you’ll share that feedback with them directly as well – I’m sure it would mean a lot! I can certainly appreciate your comment on work/life balance, as we know the team worked tremendously hard during the migration project. Our employees pulled off an amazing feat, standing up an entire company’s new business systems in record time, with no significant misses along the way. You have my admiration and gratitude for the work that was done! And I appreciate your call to action around mental health. This is a deeply important subject, and never has that been more apparent than during the past year. Please know that we remain committed to providing wellness resources and creating opportunities for our employees to engage with one another in support of their wellbeing.
