Pros

Synergy has the most impressive client list I have seen out of any recruiting firm, hands down. Candidates stop by and are always blown away by the caliber of clients we partner with. Synergy works with the most talented candidates. They have a lot of people that they work with exclusively that other firms do not know. They always send the best candidates, they turn the submittals around quickly and the rates are some of the most competitive in the business. Synergy has very good follow up skills. They are good about getting feedback out to the candidates, even if the feedback was not good - which is very helpful. Synergy always has a number of open positions for just about every skill set and they are very well connected with the hiring managers at their clients. The recruiters at Synergy are not too pushy. They make suggestions and offer great advice and are very knowledgeable about the industry but at the end of the day, they leave the decision up to the candidate.

One of the things that can be tough is that Synergy they are always looking for better ways to do things. It can be tough to adjust to a new process once you are already set in a certain way to do things. The adjustments are usually for the better but can take time getting used to.

Pros

Synergy is an incredible place to work, and I feel fortunate to have been part of the team for several years. Starting as an interactive recruiter, I’ve worked my way up to a senior recruiter, thanks to the supportive environment and growth opportunities. I love the team, the career development, and seeing my hard work pay off. While recruiting can be challenging, the unwavering support from my colleagues makes all the difference.

- minimal involvement - consistent pay schedule

- does nothing to advocate for you as the contract worker - poor communication (delay on emails, typos, unhelpful, unresponsive) - disconnect between you (contract worker) and the client - takes an unknown, undisclosed percentage of your pay from the client throughout the duration of your contract and does nothing to help you—the consultant—after hiring you
