Even if you take on more responsibility your salary will not increase to the appropriate amount consistent with new title and additional work load. Ensure that you ask for the salary you expect to make over the next 5 years because it will be a long journey of discussion and negotion. This rule can only be broken if your manager demands a competitive increase to bring your salary up to the same rate as your collegues considering you are doing the same work. Someone previously left a review about HR and they were spot on. The dynamics of the organization has changed as the face of HR changed. This is a department that needs a significant face life. Company morale continues to rapidly decrease due to current HR interaction and decision making. Cross departmental communication is not encouraged. You get the sense that they are trying to hide information. It is a very political enviornment so you will have to get to know who's who.
