I am a 10+ year Recruitment Professional with an intrinsic joy and passion for recruiting that has been celebrated in every work environment I have ever joined; except for SuperbTech. At SuperbTech my joy and passion for working with candidates and clients was met with jealousy and scepticism instead of seeing it as an asset to uplift the company; which I thought is why I was hired. I was denied the basic benefits expressed on my offer letter including to work from home on Fridays starting from my first day for 2 out of my 3 months at SuperbTech while every other Recruiter was able to work from home on Fridays starting from day 1. I was denied paid sick leave which is expressed on my offer letter starting day 1, I was fired Thanksgiving Week for having family plans outside of LA that week and wanting to take PTO, which I accrued after 2 months, or even to work remotely if there was an immediate need to close business strongly before the holiday. Instead, Jan chose to remove me from the company regardless of her preaching a proud work-life balance structure especially during the holiday season. I believe my work from home Thanksgiving plans were met with termination because of Jan Davis' obsession with seeing me in the office every day to try and deflate my exuberance and joy which is the same reason my work from home Fridays were denied for 2 months without reason. I am happy to say I am more joyful than ever being away from that toxic environment and that is a testament self-actualization and rising above any dreadful negativity and insecurity that tries to point itself my way, especially the abundance that is teeming in that office. I was once told by Jan "If I tell you to do something just do it without asking questions" and was almost fired that same day for responding back "that is not how anyone speaks to a colleague in a healthy work environment; whether peer, leader or direct report and I would leave before being spoken to like that." From there she realized she took her emotional driven attempts at tyranny too far and we would move past it if I did not write it down in my 30 day review. I saw first hand the lies Jan tells to candidates, clients and recruiters when I sourced and closed a STELLAR candidate for a position but was out sick the day Jan wanted to send a group submission to the client. I sent her the information from home, as agreed, but Jan submitted my candidate without the updated resume and candidate submission I provided. She instead sent the submission for my candidate with a subpar and mediocre ChatGPT submission another recruiter presented to Jan then purposefully left me off the email submission so I would not see that she presented my candidate with the false submission information from another recruiter. As a result of that, my candidate didn't get chosen for interview and the client did not see all candidates in the best light. However, the other recruiters' candidate in that email got chosen for the interview and we will never know which candidate truly deserved the role or who the client would have chosen with the most accurate information. I asked about this candidate and the feedback for weeks with no direct answer from Jan except "candidate denied with no feedback from client." The only way I found out the truth is because another recruiter forwarded me the email Jan purposefully left me off and I saw that it was not the submission I sent or the most updated resume my candidate sent me. That was when I knew I was leaving the company and that is when I knew no self respecting recruiter, candidate or company should ever work with SuperTech again. I have many more examples but I believe my point was made.
