Pros

They allow telework, 401K set-up, profit sharing

Kontras

Upper management and senior employee not wanting to do their jobs and have newer staff fill in for them. Also its an old boys club for sure. An upper manager was highly abusive verbally and decides who does what unseemly tasks, thus no one batted an eye when he had a highly unusual turnover rate, everyone including executive staff though it was hilarious, which is perplexing for new and younger staff. No upward mobility. Passive aggression, and micro aggression. Turnover was high when I was there. Not particularly nurturing environment for POCs or younger women.

Strategic Insight has a new Chief Operating Officer (female, non-military) and she has instituted changes in upper management. Abuse of any kind is not tolerated at Strategic Insight and specific steps to report abuse are spelled out in the updated Policy and Procedures manual. Managers at all levels in the company underwent training regarding harassment and abuse (physical and verbal).

Pros

The people, the salary, the variety in the job kept me happy for over 10 years.

Kontras

The cons are just the stress of the ridiculously busy area they are in. Lots of traffic, but they are metro accessible so that's another win.

Pros

Company in general is great and the coworkers make it worth coming in every day. It's a great place for a retired person or someone with a second income to do good work that means more than a career. The work engages your mind and you get to meet interesting clients and work. If you're looking for a place to lie low and grow skills, this could be a good fit.

Kontras

You'll never be recognized for your skills, pay raises are a fight, and you won't be competitive in your field. If you're young, modern, and want a career - this isn't the place for you. You will be frustrated and management won't care. From what long-time employees say, it wasn't always that way but I wouldn't know. They don't have a lot of other work so if your contract has an issue - you'll be out of a job.
