Strategic Data Systems has heard you. You were a valuable member of the SDS marketing team and we were sorry to see you leave our employ. We are two years out from your review and have made strategic changes based on your opinion. At SDS we always encourage open and honest feedback from our employees and clients to guide SDS management and its executive team to make the employee experience one that encourages growth for the good of all personnel and Strategic Data Systems as a whole. Pros

Strategic Data Systems has been in business for over 30 years. They have a small company feel and their employees work on exciting projects at Fortune 500 companies.

Kontras

Engagements tend to be regional to southwest Ohio, northern Kentucky, and eastern Indiana, although they use many remotely located workers across the country working at companies with a national presence.

Pros

Their end clients are nice and helpful

Kontras

* They do not know the technology their clients use, inadvertently will mismatch technologies (Angular is not React, and Angular is a frontend tech, not in the realm of architecture) * They will have you fill out multiple timesheets, which is redundant * They will fail to communicate internal procedures * They will refuse to communicate anything about payment despite four separate requests * They are happy to invoice their clients for your time without paying you, despite approving of multiple timesheets * They take no responsibility for setting people up to fail * They are happy to take your code, praise and thank you for it, and say nothing was done * They are eager to get litigious against their former employees when there is potential for a dispute * The industry does in fact pay 10-20% more... definitely the kind of people you settle for when things are slow.

This particular remote contractor did not show up to scheduled meetings, did not complete the security training, and completed no usable work. The customer ultimately rejected all of the work they performed and did not pay. We refused to pay.
