15 bucks an hour great sign on bonus

Asked to be placed in a busy location in one week I have seen 8 clients. Was told this was a brand new location with no history from previous owners or staff. Find out this shop reopened a month prior with a horrible history of bad customer service. Told I had wrong clipper system after 3 weeks a was told I would be removed from schedule until this was rectified. This should have been brought up at the hiring process to ensure the people you hire are using the specific brand clipper you allow.

Each store owner does have the ability to set unique expectations for their store. Many stores allow team members to use their clipper of choice. The pay is excellent as long as you’re performance is strong and especially if your flexible with your schedule and full time. But if you’re not a good performer or super part time, this might not be the best place for you.

Great hourly pay with tips. Averaged about $38 to $40 an hour. Great starting place. They do offer training. The co-workers were nice at my location. Management does help you with flexible scheduling so if you have children, it works out great.

Burnout is real. Expected to complete service within an allotted short time. Too many clients come in that want expensive barbershop cuts but want to pay the lowest price (they really shouldn’t even go to sport clips for). Also, way too many clients with long hair wanting full scissor cuts. They won’t turn away clients even if the cuts they ask for are — are not something sport clips does or allows for a lot of time. TV’s get annoying after a while (too loud).
