I can honestly say in my 15 years in the beauty industry, Sport Clips has done more for me both personally and professionally than any other company that I have previously worked for. They provide extensive training and send you to conventions and seminars where you develop your teams and career! Sport Clips goes above and beyond with a culture of excellence! I would and will recommend Sport Clips to my hairdresser friends as well as our new beauty graduates!

As a team member there may be a requirement for long hours, nights and weekends. But this is the beauty industry and we are here to serve!

The pay is excellent as long as you’re performance is strong and especially if your flexible with your schedule and full time. But if you’re not a good performer or super part time, this might not be the best place for you.

Great hourly pay with tips. Averaged about $38 to $40 an hour. Great starting place. They do offer training. The co-workers were nice at my location. Management does help you with flexible scheduling so if you have children, it works out great.

Burnout is real. Expected to complete service within an allotted short time. Too many clients come in that want expensive barbershop cuts but want to pay the lowest price (they really shouldn’t even go to sport clips for). Also, way too many clients with long hair wanting full scissor cuts. They won’t turn away clients even if the cuts they ask for are — are not something sport clips does or allows for a lot of time. TV’s get annoying after a while (too loud).
