Pros

Values and mission. I love that there is no gossip and the idea of treat others the way they want to be treated. That is the core of who I am and it matches up with SC perfectly

Kontras

Not many. I really love my job. I love the lay out and the team environment. I would like the awards for Chairman’s Club at the Banquet to be better, feed us and give us some water at least while we are standing for over an hour waiting to walk the stage. That is a bummer to me, treat us with respect not like cattle, every year it is the same thing. I feel like I don't matter, I am in the top 15% in the company and I feel like I am getting treated worse than a cow on a farm. Follow the mission statement, do your best corporate, do what's right corporate, treat others they way they want to be treated corporate. Next yr. Our group is going to bring cooler behind stage so we can have some drinks and appetizers while we miss out on the entire start of the huddle. Give us a screen to watch and some chairs to sit on.

Kontras

Fast paced, mostly men and boys, stand all day, pressure around productivity, income varies, working weekends, holidays and evenings.

Pros

Great hourly pay with tips. Averaged about $38 to $40 an hour. Great starting place. They do offer training. The co-workers were nice at my location. Management does help you with flexible scheduling so if you have children, it works out great.

Kontras

Burnout is real. Expected to complete service within an allotted short time. Too many clients come in that want expensive barbershop cuts but want to pay the lowest price (they really shouldn’t even go to sport clips for). Also, way too many clients with long hair wanting full scissor cuts. They won’t turn away clients even if the cuts they ask for are — are not something sport clips does or allows for a lot of time. TV’s get annoying after a while (too loud).
