Very dystopian and robotic workplace.

Pros

SpinGo is a great company to work for. I have never worked anywhere, where I feel excited coming to work EVERYDAY. The opportunities available to me to learn and grow while working here have been amazing. This is a company where what I do matters, my opinion is relevant and respected, and I am responsible for change just as much as anyone else. Being able to be an integral part in the forming of a company has helped me grow both professionally and personally. Not only has the experience been one of a kind, I am lucky to work with an incredibly talented team who gives 110%. Working somewhere where the entire team cares, allows us to take responsibility for our success, and motivates us that much more to achieve that success. On top of the personal success that can be achieved here, management is supportive. There is no micro-managing, and I am trusted to get my job done the best way I see fit. If that wasn't enough, the culture is great! SpinGo's leadership team makes a point to schedule fun activities each month, that allows us all to get to know each other and have fun together.

Kontras

Working for a startup is hard, and can be stressful. But being a part of a team that is invested, and having management that cares, makes the job much easier.

Pros

You can work from home, making your own hours. You work when you want and how much you want (as long as you are given good venues to obtain work from!)

Kontras

This is how Spingo works: You are an independent contractor (1099) who is assigned venues where you "harvest" or find events that you enter into their database. You are paid per event, but if this same event is recurring you are paid significantly less per those events. With new management and rules they have drastically reduced the type of events you are allowed to harvest, thus lowering how much you can make per month, yet they still expect you to take the time to check all venues for the occasional event. The ratio of time spent vs. how much you make is below minimum wage and not worth the effort. You are better off getting a part time job somewhere. Also, per the other review, it is true they delete events you have worked on and that money does then come out of your pay. You are not paid for training or any self training you must do when new handbooks come out, as this is a contract position.
