Pros
Solestial truly understands the importance of work-life balance. I've never felt reluctant to tend to my personal obligations or take PTO without the feeling of guilt or overwhelm. I'm encouraged to take the time I need and I'm appreciative of that. From the first day of my employment, and even in the interviewing process, the communication was clear and transparent. I'm a person that loves a lot of information which means I ask a lot of questions. Given the nature of the business and the academic background of the team, it's refreshing to have like-minded people encouraging questions and working through problem solving in a productive way. Regular All Hands, 1:1s and team meetings ensure everyone is on the same page and there's a genuine effort to keep all employees informed about company developments and decisions. There's a lot of room for upward growth at Solestial. My manager does an excellent job of providing regular feedback and coaching focused on career progression. There is a genuine interest in making sure I feel fulfilled professionally and am on the right path to get to where I want to be.
Kontras
The company is continuing to grow which means there are occasional growing pains around process inefficiencies or shifting priorities. The senior leaders are actively working to improve these issues and I feel confident in their commitment to do so.
