I was hired into an executive leadership role at SolarWinds under the current CEO. While optimistic about the opportunity to turn the business around post breach, I started to realize it was all wishful thinking. 4 of the 6 other executives I interviewed with left the company within months after I started. In less than 6 months I had 3 different managers and ZERO performance reviews or feedback. The product strategies changed weekly. Plans would be set only to be scrapped and new plans introduced. It become clear there was no product plan or vision, just a lot of guessing. Any new ideas I tried to introduce were just met with resistance. And what good work was done was blatantly claimed by other executives. The culture it turns out was corrupt, with only lip service about how much leadership C.A.R.Es. I was happy when I left, and felt badly for the people who remained. The employees are very good, but they can not succeed with such poor leadership. And if customers knew how poorly the company is managed, I think they would leave even faster.
