During the recruitment process, I was informed that the company was expanding the practice in preparation for new business. SoftwareOne offers Discretionary Time Off (DTO) instead of traditional Personal Time Off (PTO). While DTO is theoretically "unlimited," it does not accrue like PTO. As a result, if you live in a state where unused time off must be paid out, DTO would not qualify for a payout. This structure ultimately benefits the employer more than the employee, as it reduces liability for unused vacation payouts.
