7yDear Colleague - firstly thanks for investing part of your career with us. I hope and trust that your time here was productive and that your experience allowed you to learn and grow. I am also glad we were able to provide you with the flexibility to work from home and accommodate your personal set up.
Having said that, I'm sorry you were not able to earn commission at a satisfactory level. You make a pertinent point, the re-seller market is declining in the traditional sense - hence why we are transforming to a Technology Partner and solutions provider - Vision2018 and now Vision2022 are really exciting times for us as we evolve the business and the business model.
This also means our comp plan is designed to enable this and rewards success in the transformative areas. Whilst this may be a controversial statement, I am happy to stand by this and say categorically if you simply sell licenses in our company, the commission potential is significantly less than those people providing wider services and solutions to our customers in the context of our portfolio.
I would still be happy to hear further feedback on how we can improve - compensation overall remains a sensitive, very important and often emotional compenent of work life - so if you have time, please don't hesitate to write to me in confidence directly.
