Pros

There really are none I can give.

Kontras

Working at Smartrr has been a rollercoaster ride, primarily due to the leadership's lack of integrity. The CEO, Gaby's leadership style often prioritizes appearances over truth, leading to a culture of dishonesty and mistrust. I've witnessed firsthand how promises are broken, information is withheld or distorted, and employees are left in the dark about company goals and challenges. There are also whispers among some team members that Gabriella Tegen may not be the actual founder of Smartrr, which further erodes trust in her leadership. This isn't just about the founding narrative; it's part of a broader pattern of dishonesty that permeates the company. Internal communication is often unclear or misleading, making it difficult for employees to understand company goals or make informed decisions. Unrealistic targets are frequently set without providing adequate resources or support, leading to burnout and dissatisfaction among team members. It feels like we're constantly running on a treadmill without any clear direction or support.

Pros

There are some extraordinary people at this company in the lower levels. The office is nice and there are some fun perks/team bonding activities. Pay/benefits were pretty great too, and work/life balance was solid.

Kontras

I don't really know where to begin. A somewhat unstable environment is not all that surprising at a start-up, but this quickly became pretty toxic. There's a lack of transparency in general regarding role clarity and hierarchy, manipulation through unrealistic metrics is frequently used to intimidate/threaten employees, and senior leadership blatantly plays favorites and regularly gossips about/badmouths other employees. Turnover is also super high for such a small company. By the end of my time there, I was in a constant state of paranoia and anxiety. There are ways to have a good work life in certain departments, so long as you're pretty removed from leadership and you're generally well-liked by the important people, but I strongly advise you to proceed with caution. I wish there had been a Glassdoor when I took this role because I wouldn't have.
