The company is in a tough spot with a poor financial situation, management for the most part that is out of state and relies upon a few key staff to keep everything running (who understandably cannot do so very well). The racing industry itself exactly been thriving as of late and relies upon a customer base with a certain level of household income that isn't growing either.
Techs are far overworked (no overtime), paychecks have been more frequently delayed, services shut off because of bills unpaid, new parts cannot be ordered for cars. The key staff still there are doing so out of loyalty to the brand. There's also kind of a "boys' club" attitude as well that holds back the level of professionalism that's required, but they can't fire people because it's so hard to get decent workers with pay the way it is. Policies are written and then promptly made exception to constantly. You can draw your own conclusion as to how morale is.
