Pros

This is an objective review, I was never too attached to this Company to make things personal. These are purely my observations during my short tenure and I feel an obligation to advise others. - Hybrid working schedule - Previously had a flexible 4-day working arrangement until they flip-flopped on that decision (a common theme) and blamed the staff (also a common theme) - A lot of the staff are there to do their job to the best of their ability and try to commit to the company's values - If you're in the Brisbane AU Office there are meals and amenities

Kontras

The Company does not adhere to their own Company Values, it seems to be one set of rules for the staff and another for the higher-ups. "We are one team" - it is challenging to collaborate across departments... impossible procedures and roadblocks around every corner leave you doing what you can within your immediate team and create global divides. Something as simple as solving payroll discrepancies can take months to resolve due to having to try and communicate across multiple departments and 3rd parties. "We innovate" - Budget constraints and painfully long procedures make innovation difficult across the board. You'd be surprised to see how little automation and AI technology a SaaS company of this size is adopting. "We own it" - The acting CEO uses the term "Transparency" as a tool to condescendingly speak down to staff and throw executive peers under the bus (multiple instances) while simultaneously never admitting to any fault. Now, this one is the big kicker... when the Board decided to remove the flexible work arrangement (with little notice to staff) they removed all mention of it on socials and blogs without once acknowledging it to the public, essentially sweeping the whole thing under the rug. Not very "We keep it real, have the courage to stand up, speak out and embrace challenges. Success and failure, we are accountable to each other and act with respect and transparency in every situation" of them. "We care" - If the above isn't already enough, the reason I left the company was that they couldn't uphold this one simple value. The direction the Company is moving shows no real care or value to its staff. I have seen coworkers mental health affected and just across the board treat their staff as replaceable. I find this funny as you can definitely find better pay in similar roles, the main draws card was the benefits and work week which now have been taken away. "We have fun" - I genuinely believe this to have been the case once upon a time, however now, it's almost like this is held over the staff's head. " We laugh, enjoy what we do and never turn down a reason to celebrate. (And we play a lot of ping-pong!)." I think in 2023, any Company that references Ping Pong is overcompensating for something, no?

The new CEO? A MAGA Miami man installed by K1 like a hood ornament on a car with no engine. EDM blaring through the office. Twenty minutes late to his own all-hands. Executives who can't be bothered to show up to meetings they scheduled. This is leadership now. This is the vision. And God help you if you're a woman. Welcome back to the 90s, sweetheart. The good ol' boys club is fully operational. If you enjoy being sexually harassed on Google calls, you've found your people. If you enjoy being excluded from meetings that are literally about your job, and then talked over when you somehow make it in, congratulations, you're thriving. The Kaseya crew brought their whole culture with them and planted it like a flag. Meanwhile, customers - real people, good people who trusted this software to run their livelihoods - were getting locked into three-year contracts and told to be grateful. Price hikes? Absolutely. Bug fixes? We'll get back to you. The UI looks like it was designed in 2009 by someone who deeply resents the user. But you can't say any of that. Constructive criticism is treated like treason. So what do you do? You smile. You hit your impossible targets or you get managed out. You watch good people disappear overnight -- no party, no card, just gone, desk cleared, Slack deactivated. Then leadership sends a company-wide email about "exciting new chapters." I came here to build something. Instead I watched them burn it down and charge the customers for the smoke.
