Bad upper management! The recruitment process for managers is shocking, often employing external candidates, that have no knowledge of the coffee industry, over loyal and knowledgeable internal candidates. In my time with this company I have only known of 2 external candidates actually being successful! Alongside the numerous failed managers employed leaving or being dismissed, valued ,skilled and previously loyal members of staff leave! This fatal trait is still ongoing. I honestly find it unbelievable that such a large company have not yet realised the talent they already have !
