The leadership at Shutterfly made very poor decisions in 2022 and instead of taking responsibility for it, we ended up with large layoffs affecting many great people. They also took away all bonuses and all merit and cost-of-living raises (effectively a 10% pay cut). The CEO had the audacity to tell the employees "You didn't get bonuses because you didn't deserve it". For the future, the same leaders said they are "very confident" that 2023 will be better. Unfortunately, their only plan is to cut costs (staff) and then just hope. Meanwhile, they expanded the executive staff and said the employees need to give them a few years before judging their performances. This was said when many great people with decades of experience with Shutterfly were laid off.
