I was making an okayish 65+k as a low level Systems Analyst with only one year of experience. Small company so you know everyone's skeletons.

Kontras

Lost heating several times during the coldest winter months and wasn't allowed to go home. Hostile work environment meant that much of the Sr. managers got into weekly shouting matches.

There was a ping pong table, they made a really big deal about that for some reason

Soulless office environment Very outdated tech stack Miserable, grey cubicle farm Honestly just a surreal experience walking around the office, it really has a way of sucking the hot out of people No remote work option Pay on the lower side, benefits/PTO pretty bad Constant arguments between management, like, screaming arguments I think about my time here often as a reminder that no matter what I'm doing at least I'm not there
