Pros
The vacation, sick and floating holiday is nice. If you get the right department it is easy. There are some departments that are uptight and do not have any flexibility. Some are super kind and generous with your time.
Kontras
Politics. There is a hierarchy in offices and you can tell who gets special treatment and who does not. Men get a lot of special treatment in my office. If you are not a Republican you will have a bad time. If you give too much workwise, then you will be over worked and under paid. The UPEC Union is garbage. They do not fight for good raises and if you need representation, they expect you to pay for their garbage representation on top of paying to be in the union. Also, you are locked in for the whole contract should you join, it is a scam.
