Pros
I loved working here my first 1-1.5 years, even though I knew I was being used. The company knew that I would be loyal, and that they could work me into the ground. I knew I was viewed as competition and would therefore never get the real career opportunities that I aspired for within the company. The pay was alright at times, even though I don’t think the pay was based on experience. I think it was based on other factors. However, if you calculated the amount of hours worked vs. your annual salary, then you quickly realized how little you were actually being paid. I also liked being left alone so I could perform my job duties without someone micromanaging me. I did make some great friendships within the company.
Kontras
Too many changes. There are constant changes in leadership, policies, processes, etc. Nothing ever stays the same. If it’s not broke then don’t fix it! I didn’t feel like leadership had my back. There is definitely an inner circle/clique, which I was never part of. Those outside the inner circle will be held back, regardless of how hard he/she works. They’ll have you travel constantly, and your family will suffer. You’re new “family” will be your job, and your real family will become a distant memory. You will rarely, if ever, receive accolades for your hard work. And for the love of God do NOT believe a word that is said by upper management unless it’s put in writing and signed. And even then it may not actually happen. And my advice would be, even if you do work here, to not bother leaving on good terms. Even if you do leave on good terms then they may still shun you if you ever want or need to return. Just treat it like any other stepping stone job. Watch out for wolves in sheep’s clothing.
