Pros
Compensation was good, and the per hour added compensation by contract was fair. The ability to get bonuses based on company growth was great. The benefits were really good (medical, IRAs, retirement etc.). Teamwork was great and customer satisfaction was a priority. Knowledge and experience were valued.

On-boarding process was confusing, not enough detail around the transition between corporate versus consultation cultures/positions. Expectations/Understanding not aligned. Like having to use vacation days to cover holidays. Some unreasonable expections regarding work-life balances. i.e. driving two hours+ one way to work, working 8 hours and then driving two hours+ home, 12 hour work days at any age are too much. Compensation for mileage was included but the was to use this money to cover a hotel room (no per diem) if you did not want to drive every day. Working a full day or more on a contract assignment and then being expected to work on another project for the home office for multiple additional hours every night to the exclusion of family or outside life. Drop everything when asked on last minute assignments/needs..
