Pros

Worked at SD for a while and ended up leaving for a better offer due to lacking compensation + Free breakfast + Young and friendly co-workers + Nice (Soho) office + Innovative environment + Fun culture (expect to take a lot of shots) + Upper management will fund continuing education if you bring forward potential classes or events + Reasonable hours + Exposure to start-up culture and Saas products + Hard work and results are acknowledged by SVP & Accounts + If you prove yourself you will be given a shot to have more autonomy and (solely) a title increase

Kontras

+ Upper management is not transparent whatsoever about large company decisions + Questionable spending of company funds (Kegorator?) rather than bonuses + At times, it can feel like your intentionally being bribed with booze to cover up the reality of lacking compensation and benefits + No equity for non-dev/engineering + No HR or vacation policy + High turnover + Antiquated understanding of company loyalty

Pros

I've been here for a little over 2 years and have seen the company mature a lot in that time. Some huge pros are: + Extremely talented and friendly people across every department. + Everyone gets along. CEO promotes cross-department bonding by reimbursing coffee any time you go for a walk & talk with someone on another team. + Upward and horizontal mobility. + Full medical, dental, commuter, 401k, health & lifestyle, etc. benefits. + Fully stocked snacks and a weekly team lunch. + A lot of company events. + Career development... they reimbursed a certification course I took and suggest everyone take classes/trainings to further their skills. + Visionary leadership and great mission. Easy to get behind the company.

Kontras

+ Looking to scale has caused a ton of changes in process very quickly. Need to be sure you're keeping up. + We have so many great ideas BUT only so much bandwidth to act on them all appropriately... need to stay focused. (I'll admit leadership has been working a ton on improving here)
