Pros

- zero, none, zilch, nada - still nothing, just ridiculously awful - cartoon of a company

Kontras

- no workstation provided - no benefits - no retirement - no HR - no management - no orientation - no organization or sensible communication whatsoever - no order to decisions - no culture - no team lunches or happy hours - no perks - no equity - no parking, unless you pay out of pocket - no access to building, unless you pay out of pocket - no sense of achievement, ever - no review process - no bonus - practically zero diversity - lost and frantic fratboy CEO, riddled w/ nervous ticks, always anxious - terrible operations and communications - in a 2-month span, boss was MIA for 3 weeks - worked most holidays, went unnoticed - stayed late almost daily, went unnoticed - lack of enthusiasm - very rude CEO, never really to me, but witnessed countless unprofessional interactions - frequent all-nighters - really, they only care about sales and investment, the user and product are completely ignored - crappy product, feels like a slow application from the 90s

Pros

The true meaning of start-up culture: a work family that you'll soon not forget.

Kontras

Getting acquired by a larger company that was dense and unable to adapt beyond its antiquated business practices.

Pros

Worked at SD for a while and ended up leaving for a better offer due to lacking compensation + Free breakfast + Young and friendly co-workers + Nice (Soho) office + Innovative environment + Fun culture (expect to take a lot of shots) + Upper management will fund continuing education if you bring forward potential classes or events + Reasonable hours + Exposure to start-up culture and Saas products + Hard work and results are acknowledged by SVP & Accounts + If you prove yourself you will be given a shot to have more autonomy and (solely) a title increase

Kontras

+ Upper management is not transparent whatsoever about large company decisions + Questionable spending of company funds (Kegorator?) rather than bonuses + At times, it can feel like your intentionally being bribed with booze to cover up the reality of lacking compensation and benefits + No equity for non-dev/engineering + No HR or vacation policy + High turnover + Antiquated understanding of company loyalty
