Pros
It is great coming to work every day with people who actually care about their jobs and the success of this company. Screen Pilot works hard and plays hard, and management tries to make the office a fun place to spend time. There are video games when you aren't working, a kitchen stocked with snacks/drinks/food, and beer on Fridays. When management promises resources, they are delivered on (which has not been the norm in my past jobs). Salaries are fair for an agency, and you are also given funds for personal growth passion projects. You are also given PTO days for volunteering, and management has just announced plans for a 401k and other benefits additions. Rather than having cubes, everyone is set up in an open seating arrangement which fosters a lot of collaboration and discussion. It is nice to work somewhere that you can see the outcome of your work, and be recognized for it. A successful employee here has to be self-motivated and organized because no one is micro-managing you which is great, but if you need a lot of hand-holding this isn't the place for you. Overall, a very rewarding place to work.
Kontras
The only cons are having to juggle priorities since this is a smaller agency with limited resources. Things will get done, but you have to be patient. I am confident that as we grow, our resources will grow with us so I don't see this as that significant of a negative. The company also doesn't get certain holidays off that are commonly observed.
