Pros

Good place to work if your driver is a work/life balance Great products with high innovation Great atmosphere for work in Europe. Still has the Swedish respectful treatment to colleagues culture Amazing site for work in Chile

Kontras

Sandvik has underperformed the last 6 years comparing to peers Unclear Headquarter communication and corporate vision in Sandvik Rock Technology division Lack of sales and customer focus. This is company that looks itself, customer is not the main focus....high bureaucracy in doing businesses. Mediocre Human Resources staff in Latam. This is probably the worst division I have seen.

Pros

Work–life balance is actually respected. Most managers honor boundaries, don’t expect late-night firefighting as the norm, and are fine with you taking time off when you need it. Solid parental leave. The parental leave policy is extremely generous compared to a lot of places in the industry, and leadership is generally supportive of people actually using it. Interesting, challenging work. Plenty of chances to solve real problems, not just busywork. If you’re proactive, you can own projects and grow your skill set. Good benefits package. Healthcare, 401(k), and time off are competitive, and HR does a decent job of making the options clear. Smart coworkers who care. A lot of sharp people who genuinely want to do the right thing for customers and the business, which makes collaboration worthwhile when it works.

Kontras

Communication needs improvement. Priorities and decisions don’t always flow clearly from leadership to the teams doing the work, which leads to confusion and rework. Too many silos. Teams tend to operate in their own lane, and cross-functional collaboration can be painful. Information gets stuck instead of shared.
