Pros
SailPoint is by far the best culture'd company I have been in, in my career, theres a policy of dont hire any jerks and generally even though I have found some, I'd say that jerks don't really exist in Sailpoint. SailPoint are very understanding if you have personal stuff going on in your life, they will bend over backwards to ensure you have that dealt with, even little things like having to pop out to getting your car fixed or having to pick up a child, they are very flexible with your life and this is important to mention as a lot of companies I have worked in are not like this. Work life balance generally is good, though sometimes it can get a bit busy, but I've not yet found any manager which expects people to work out of hours though generally its not discouraged either and I know a lot which do to get ahead especially in Sales where commission matters. SailPoint have always been nice to me, in terms of giving me extra vacation days when I work hard or sending me on an all expenses paid trip to a hotel as a treat. Some of the people here are some of the best in the industry, and what I always find interesting is a lot of these people could be on double the wage but they choose to stay here because they just enjoy it or love the culture and mission.

The pay is below what is offered at other rivals and tech companies, but for me pay isn't everything and the work life balance and relationships are important. There was definetly some changes when Thoma Bravo took over Sailpoint we have a reduce in budget which means promotions were very rare and also little things like sending hampers and gifts to employees were stopped, this said its important to realise its not just Sailpoint all the tech companies in the US have been on a reduced budget and I think Sailpoint did a good job in reducing the amount of reduancies despite a difficult economy, I'm sure as Sailpoint grows again a lot of the budget will slowly come back for the employees. There has been some huge changes in the structure of Engineering in the past and whats happened is a lot of teams are very Silo'd and all the people who did know how everything came together has left or was laid off, as a result an increase in major incidents has increased which is tiring, however I know there is a plan at least to address this. :)
